Patient Stories

Mrs Cate Day

Sarah and three of our nursing staff visit Mrs Cate Day seven times a week. Mrs Day enjoys living in her own home and continues to be independent with a little help. Sarah and staff help Cate with personal care assistance and weekly blood pressure checks. The staff look forward to their visits as Cate inspires them to appreciate life experiences and look forward to each day.

Mrs Jean Jones

Mrs Jean Jones has a team of five caring for her two times a day during the week in between family visits. The dedicated nursing staff assists Mrs Jones with her compression stockings, wound and personal care. At 97 years old, Jean encourages the nurses who care for her to have a positive attitude towards life and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

John

John received daily wound care after surgery as requested by his physician. He now receives assistance three times a week to help him recover quickly.

The Robertson Family

The Robertson family has a child with special needs. The services they rely on from RHNS has varied over the years. They have benefited from domestic help such as laundry and light cooking to respite care for the parents. The support the Roberson’s receive allows the entire family to be stronger, happier and healthier.
